A Government funded Home Care Package (HCP), can be of great assistance in helping you, or a loved one to stay safe, healthy and happy in the comfort of your own home.
The decision around the services and who provides them - is now up to individual choice and puts all Australians, at the forefront of their own home care needs.
This is great news!
Under the program, seniors choose a service provider that is right for their specific needs (eg: Comfort Keepers). The government, then pays us, a subsidy to provide a care package to meet your specific requirements. If you’re over 65, or an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, over 50, you could be eligible.
Funded by the Australian Government - there are four levels of Home Care Packages with a scale of funding levels, to reflect care packages from the basic, through to the highest level of care.
There are four levels of support provided under the program:
LEVEL 1
Basic - $10,588 p/a
LEVEL 2
Low - $18,622 p/a
LEVEL 3
Intermediate - $40,529 p/a
LEVEL 4
