Our Philosophy
For Comfort Keepers, caring for others, is no different than caring for members of our own family. The overarching aim of our palliative home care service, is to provide a personal, tailor-made, in-home care approach, so that each patient can have the best quality of life while they are dealing with their challenging illness.
Our Manager, will meet you to discuss your individual needs and create a tailored care plan in consultation, with all health providers, to fit the needs of the client and family.
These include: Personal Care,Transferring, Medication Prompts, Homemaking, Errands, Appointments,Our Client Services Manager will introduce a dedicated Support Worker, based on needs and the best possible shared outcomes. It’s never going to be perfect, but it will be personal, genuine and authentic.
Supporting the family
Our dedicated Palliative Care team, also makes support of the family a key priority.
As well as the patient’s own personal battle, the burden on the family, can also take its toll.. We are there, every step of the way - to listen, care and go the extra mile.
While all hospice care is palliative care, not all palliative care is hospice care!
The goal of palliative care is to give a patient with an illness the best quality of life and to support their family. The patient in this case may not necessarily incurable and has every chance of recovery. Hospice care on the other hand provides is a type of palliative care (i.e. providing the best quality of life) for a patient who is terminally ill and may have only a short time to live.
